Fix surviv.io: Not Loading, Lag, or Black Screen
Fast checks first, then deeper fixes if the game still won’t run.
Quick fixes (try these first)
- Refresh the tab and wait 10–20 seconds for assets to load.
- Open an Incognito/Private window to rule out cache issues.
- Disable extensions (especially ad blockers/script blockers) and reload.
- Clear site data (cache/cookies) for the portal, then reload.
- Try another browser (Chrome / Edge / Firefox).
- Ensure Hardware Acceleration is enabled in browser settings.
Common issues reported by players
- mouse cursor leaves game window (dual monitors) -> play in fullscreen mode (F11) to lock the cursor to the game area
- rubber-banding or teleporting -> high ping/network desync; ensure you select the server region closest to your physical location
- stuck on 'finding match' -> your school/work network might be blocking WebSocket connections; try disabling VPNs or ad-blockers
- can't pick up items -> ensure you are looking directly at the item and pressing 'F', and check if your backpack is full
- severe lag during gunfights -> close heavy background tabs and ensure 'Hardware Acceleration' is enabled in your browser settings

Why is surviv.io stuck on loading or matchmaking?
Refresh the tab, try Incognito mode, disable extensions, and ensure your current network doesn't block multiplayer game ports.
Why is the game lagging or teleporting my character?
This is usually caused by high ping. Close background downloads, use a wired internet connection if possible, and ensure you are playing on the correct server region.
Does surviv.io work on mobile or Chromebook?
It runs perfectly on Chromebooks (though a mouse is recommended). Mobile support is very limited as the complex looting and aiming mechanics rely heavily on a keyboard.
